Valia-Sunset is a small family business of one big Apartment and a smaller Studio located in Plakias beach at South Rethymnon of Crete. It is built on the top of a hill overlooking the bay within walking distance of just 200 meters from the beautiful long sandy beach of Plakias. The view from the location of Valia-Sunset building to the bay of PLAKIAS & the surrounding mountains is amazing! It worth mentioning that the sunsets from the location of Valia-sunset Apartment & Studio are of unique beauty!

Valia-Sunset Apartment and Studio are both located on the garden floor of a two-story building with direct access to an amazing grass garden. The owners of the building (Mrs. Valia and her husband Stratos) are living on the first floor of the building and will be at your service for everything you might need during your holidays.
Our guests can select the spacious Apartment or the cozy Studio depending on their needs in space and number of guests as shown below.

Valia-Sunset Apartment and Studio located in South Rethymnon of Crete, just 200 meters away from the famous sandy beach of Plakias.
Coming from Chania airport to Valia-Sunset in Plakias, you will take the national road with direction to RETHYMNO for about 65km (if you are coming from Heraklion airport you will take the national road with direction to RETHYMNO for about 80km).
When you are close to Rethymno city you will exit the main road following a large green sign indicating "SPILI" (for those coming from CHANIA make sure that you will NOT EXIT earlier to Exit signs pointing RETHYMNO but you will have to PASS first UNDER A BRIDGE and 700 meters after you will exit the main road to the right when you see a sign to SPILI). You will continue with direction uphill (south) to Spili for about 17km until you find a right junction with a sign to "Plakias" and "Preveli".
You will follow this road to the right and after about 500 meters you will pass through the village of "Koxare", and 4km after you will enter the "Kourtaliotis" gorge. The next village, just 500 meters, after the exit of the gorge is "Asomatos". Exiting village "Asomatos" you will find a junction where you will turn left (follow the sign to "Plakias").
After 2km you will find the village of "Lefkogia". You will continue for 2,5km and you will find a junction to Plakias where you will turn left (there is a sign to "Plakias") and after about 200 meters you will turn left again. After about 250 meters you will find Valia-SunSet building in front of you in the middle of a 3-roads crossroads. Valia & Stratos will be waiting to welcome you and help you check-in.
